My doctor advised that I either buy and install a hot tub, or go to a gym that has one and use it everyday. He told me that my body needs the relaxing effects that a hot tub can give. I’ve been suffering from arthritis for years and it has progressively gotten worse. Medication is keeping my arthritis in check, but the benefit of hydrotherapy will reduce my pain.
After I left his office, I decided to do some research concerning hot tubs, and which one would be the best for my needs. I found out that hot tubs and spas do have the soothing benefits of not only hydrotherapy, but aromatherapy as well. They’re built to perform beyond expectations and are equipped to relieve strains, stress and replenish energy.
Most hot tubs combine advanced technology with a wide array of ergonomically designs that will provide therapeutic aid. All the tubs are designed to fit the contours of the body and give the proper support for the lumbar. They are made to maximize comfort and melt away the stresses of everyday life and any muscle related strains. The jets are built-in to give a gentle and effective massage.
My entire family can benefit with the use of a hot tub. Everyday after work, when the kids are home from school and my husband is home, we can enjoy each others company as we sit in a hot tub either outdoors on our deck, or inside our home. We’ll be able to spend quality time together all the while I’m receiving hydrotherapy.
After doing extensive research on-line, I have made the decision to purchase an outdoor hot tub from choosehottubsdirect.com and this decision will not only be of benefit for me, but for my entire family and friends. I can’t help but imagine how much I’ll be able to accomplish once I start hydrotherapy and how much my family will grow closer as we all enjoy our new hot tub!

It might very well be true that if we learn how to relax the mind, then the body will follow. But the reverse of this is also certainly true, and sometimes the fastest way to calm down emotionally is to engage in some kind of physical activity. It’s said that we can’t think ourselves into right action, but we can act our way into right thinking. Some of the best wisdom of the ages recommends that we do something, take an action, when things are overwhelming, or when we realize that we are not feeling like ourselves any longer. Sometimes the best action to take is to relax.
Most people don’t think of relaxation as an action at all, but a lack of action. This can sometimes result in a whole culture finding itself unable to relax, because no one can remember how, because we’ve forgotten that it most certainly is an action. There are short cuts to relaxation, and some of them are even very healthy, with massage, hot tubs, spas, or other therapies that can help the body to stop moving with the worried mind, and start to respond to the moment. The body is usually more honest than the brain, anyway, because it doesn’t have to prove that it exists, and sees things as they are right now.
Action in contemporary times is often translated to any kind of strenuous activity. Somehow we’ve mixed strenuous into everything, and action and activity don’t need strain. Some of the best things that have ever happened to us have come at moments when there was no trying, no effort, and certainly no strain. We know this, and we can see it in the ancient wisdom, where the notion that we can do without doing, and this is the best way to get things done. The notion of equating work with difficult effort comes from an old argument that has haunted philosophers over the ages, where there is a dualism between the mind and the body. At our best moments, there is no separation, and the fastest way to get back to the feeling of oneness is to make the effort to relax, and to take the action to relax, and to let ourselves have permission, to finally, relax!

Millions of people suffer through chronic pain, be it from injuries, chronic fatigue syndrome, or arthritis, this causes discomfort not only in every day life, but when trying to sleep at night and gain respite from that pain often times people have a difficult time finding relief. One of the oldest forms of therapy, one that dates back to ancient times, is that of simply soaking in hot water. Home hot tubs and spas, such as those found at choosehottubsdirect.com, have made finding this relief easier and more convenient, through providing a vast array of hot tubs to choose for and to have installed in the comforts of one’s own home or backyard.
This provides them the opportunity to have regular and consistent time spent reaping the healing benefits from the spas. When joints become damaged, the muscle often react by tensing up, or spasming. The jets provide a massage to these stiff muscles and joints, creating the ability for those who suffer to find relief from that pain, to go about their day, and at the end of that day to find proper rest. The buoyant waters provide a release from the impact that is put on the body from regular day to day life, not to mention the strain and impact as a result of a disease or an injury.
While most people recognize the benefits of taking a hot tub in the evening, promoting sleep, it is also very refreshing to take a tub in the morning upon waking as well. The water increases the circulation and gets the heart pumping, relieving any stiffness from the night before. The joints the muscles will become warmed up very quickly, provide the flexibility for some early morning stretching and exercise. By combining a healthy diet with low impact exercise, and these regular soaks in the warm waters, many of those suffering from the ongoing pain have gained greater mobility and range of motion, and thus gained back their sense of independence and the energy to move forward with their treatment.

There are many people that believe spirituality and treatment for drug addiction go hand in hand. The reasons for drug addiction are deep enough to allegedly harm a person in a spiritual sense. From this idea, evolves the another that Alcoholics Anonymous began with when it was founded.
Since addiction can permeate a person on a spiritual level, it is believed that the healing ought to take place in that person’s place of religion. For this reason, many of the drug addiction treatments occur at places which have the backing of an organized religion behind them.
However, there has been some evidence that such efforts aren’t always terribly successful. Some people argue the reason originates from the confusion others often hold about religion and spirituality, claiming that the line between them becomes blurred in many situations. This problem is exacerbated especially when the religious organization of the addict happens to sees addiction to be a sin or something shameful, two things which can cause greater harm than good in the time it takes to help an addict.
Unlike the Alcoholics Anonymous approach, others who claim they are using a spiritual rather than religious technique assert that a person must take full responsibility for their addiction and for their recovery rather than allowing it to be placed in the hands of a greater Power. Concentrating on inward causes for their addiction rather than possible outside sources allow addicts better access to the reasons why they became addicts initially. Some programs employ this very same method in their treatments for addiction. But they do not use such an approach under the guise of strengthening a person spiritually speaking.
As with any kind of residential drub treatment for addicts and their family and friends must realize that no one treatment will work for everyone. Further, whatever treatment an addict chooses with the support of those they love, they must realize that a program cannot only treat the addiction but the entire person in order to be successful.

There is no doubt that five-star Cape Town hotels are among the most beautiful and luxurious in the world. Considered by many to be one of the most gorgeous places on the planet, the hotels here live up to their fortunate location. With a heady combination of natural habitats for some of the most fascinating animals on Earth, amazing beaches that are more stunning than could ever be described or photographed, and a rich urban bustle that speaks of a lively global culture, Cape Town is one of humanity’s original hotspots.
With a fascinating and troubling history, South Africa is a living document of the human drama as it continues to unfold. Just as it would be difficult to speak of Cape Town without mentioning the history of apartheid, it is also hard to overlook the HIV virus. Just recently, hours ago as I write this, AIDS activist Thembi Ngumbane lost her battle with HIV. She had been diagnosed with drug-resistant TB earlier this week; she was 24 years old. Diagnosed with HIV when she was 19 years old, she has been outspoken and rather fearless in bringing light to HIV/AIDS issues in South Africa, as well as globally. She was given a microphone, and recorded her experiences with the illness, in an audio diary which has caught the attention of the globe.
She was chosen to be one of the participants in Imagine Afrika, a reality tv show which chronicled the lives of 12 people and their experience with HIV. Although this certainly brought her national attention, it was her sensitive diary entries in audio form that earned her the ears of international leaders such as Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. On her tour of the US, she was extremely outspoken about the grave spread of the illness, and the need for international attention so that education and outreach could help the growing situation. This global tour apparently gave her the courage to become more outspoken in her native South Africa. Thembi Ngumbane was not afraid to speak of her experience with the disease, documenting some extremely touching life events, such as telling her father about her HIV positive status. And though she was barely under five feet tall, she stood as a giant and spoke truth to power, a legacy that will live on.

When I was in my twenties and participating in a weekend workshop for actors being held at a Singapore Boutique Hotel, I learned about Script Analysis. In that workshop they taught us about how to dissect a script and find our characters intentions. We had to do this for every line in the script our characters had. This was my first time having to understand what an intention was. Being young and not too worldly, concepts came slow to me, but learning about how not only my character has ‘intentions’, but how I have intentions. This was a powerful moment for me.
Now, twenty years later, I’m seeing all kinds of books and movies being made concerning intentions, like ‘What the Bleep’ which is all about scientific studies on how powerful thoughts and intentions really are in our lives. The power of intentions is based on the principle of ‘like attracts like.’ Whatever we focus our minds on, we will draw to us. for example, if we have fearful thoughts, we will attract fearful situations and people to us, or if we have thoughts of peace and have inner balance we will attract peaceful situations and peace balanced people. It’s because our thoughts have a powerful effect in the physical world.
All of us have this power, but for some reason as children we were conditioned, educated about our limitations, about the skepticism of us having our own powers. Because of this conditioning we forgot about our innate abilities to manifest what we want; we were taught that all power is outside of us. But, there are now documented studies proving that our thoughts, our intentions do have power. In one study, half of the participants that actually exercised were able to achieve a 30% increase in strength. The other half who just imagined themselves exercising achieved and astonishing 16% increase. Showing that virtual workouts can give the same effects as actually working out. There are now journal after journal documenting such experiments. Seeing all this material being produced makes me wonder if when I learned about my character having intentions that I created an intention to be ready for the next phase of the true power behind intentions.
